DAILY HEALTH TIP #27

Clean up in aisle you!

Okay, so it’s the weekend, along with doing some house-cleaning, many of us will be making a trip to the grocery store. With your shopping in mind, I’ve taken the liberty of creating a rainbow list of foods perfectly designed to help you cleanse and support your body for the upcoming week.
Red: beets are a great source of vitamins B3, B6, C and beta-carotene as well as calcium, iron, magnesium, and zinc – which you need for optimal detoxification and elimination.
Green: pretty much anything! Kale, spinach, spirulina, alfalfa, chard, arugula or other organic leafy greens will boost blood-cleansing chlorophyll. Green tea is a great beverage choice!
Yellow: lemons boost digestive tract power. Start each day with the juice of ½ lemon in a glass of water.
White: tasty garlic is a powerful antiviral, antiseptic and antibiotic – hleping you get rid of unwanted microbes that can make you sick.
Brown: flax seeds are a great source of fibre to boost elimination. They also contain lignans that help support healthy breasts. Buy them whole and grind them fresh (in a nut or coffee grinder) to add to salads and cereals.
Obviously, there are tons of other foods with cleansing benefits at the market, but this list may help you see your food in a whole new way!
Until tomorrow,
Let’s all walk the talk!
Lisa
